In collecting the data, the researcher read and understood the novel, then chose the data dealing with the problems, namely: what are the Josephine’s emotion, how are the Josephine’s emotion express and what are the effects of Josephine’s emotion toward herself, then selected the data which are related to the purposes of the study and rewrote all of the data which haven been chosen based on the original quotations in the novel. The design of this study was descriptive research with the emphasis on the emotion of Josephine as main character in the novel “Little Woman”. 3) to analyze the effects of her emotion to her self. 2) to identify the way how Josephine expresses her emotion in Louisa May Alcott’s novel “Little Women”. Therefore the writer focused her study on An Analysis of Josephine’s Emotion in Louisa May Alcott’s Novel entitled “Little Women” The objectives of this study were 1) to know Josephine’s emotion in Louisa May Alcott’s novel “Little Women”. The readers can get a better view of things that happen in people’s mind and emotion. These things can make the readers wise up and enable them to know the way to cope and understand other people’s. In a novel, the readers can find exploration of human personality, so many characters of people and human behavior can be found in it. Literature is the human creation that expresses the idea, thought, comprehension, and conception of the life in emotional and imaginative language. It turns out that love can break through barriers as well as reach immortality through love. Success in life can only be achieved by surrendering to each other in love. He who cannot feel love cannot appreciate poetry or art. Love is based on the mind and not on the body and knowledge. As long as there is life in the world, so will love. When life appeared in the world, love also appeared. Bharathi adopted Shelley's comment that "If there is no love, there is no life" as a mantra.
Among the poets who wrote poetry for love, it can be said that Bharathi was the one who fell in love with poetry. Bharathi's poems of love for society are full of prosperity, awakening, revolution, and anger. Bharathi viewed love not as an individual experience but as an experience appropriate to women's liberation and superstition and the creation of woman's knowledge. Bharathiyar is the closest person among us in this way. Among many poets, only the poems of a few people are close to us. Bharathiyar is one of the foremost poets who glorified love.
